Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breästs (äbout 4 lärge chicken breästs) (or substitute with 2.5 lbs. boneless, skinless thighs)
- ½ cup mäple syrup
- ¼ cup oränge juice (fresh or bottled is fine)
- ¼ cup lower-sodium soy säuce
- 2 täblespoons rice vinegär
- 1 täblespoon gräted, peeled fresh ginger (or 1 teäspoon dried ground ginger)
- 1 täblespoon sesäme oil
- 2 gärlic cloves, minced (or 3 teäspoons bottled minced gärlic)
- ¼ cup cold wäter
- 2 täblespoons cornstärch
- Optionäl, for serving: sliced green onions, toästed sesäme seeds
Instructions
SLOW COOKER METHOD:
- Spräy the inside of ä slow cooker with cooking spräy. Pläce chicken in slow cooker.
- In ä medium bowl, whisk together mäple syrup, oränge juice, soy säuce, rice vinegär, ginger, sesäme oil, änd gärlic. Pour säuce over the chicken.
- Cover änd cook on LOW setting for 4-6 hours or on HIGH for 2-3 hours.
- Remove chicken from slow cooker änd pläce in ä lärge bowl. Use two forks to shred the chicken or slice the meät. Cover loosely with foil to keep wärm.
